TERM ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR IN ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS

The Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management (ForEM) at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton campus) invite applications for a cross-appointed 9-month term appointment at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor in Environmental Economics. Candidates should have a PhD in Economics, Environmental Studies, or a cognate discipline with research expertise at the intersection of environmental economics. Candidates with a PhD nearing completion will be considered. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach economic theory and applied analysis courses related to the use and protection of the natural environment, such as water, air, land, and renewable energy resources. Possible teaching strengths could include carbon accounting and market analysis, the impacts of climate change, and the valuation of ecosystem goods and services and other natural assets.

The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022-2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach, or co-teach, the equivalent of 5 courses. The teaching load will include a mix of undergraduate and graduate Economics courses, ForEM courses, and courses that may be cross-listed between the two Faculties. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong record of high-quality teaching.
