The Kinesiology and Physical Education Department at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a three-year Limited Term Appointment (LTA) faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Inclusive Movement, Physical Activity and Health beginning September 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is Waterloo, however teaching responsibilities may include instruction of students at the Brantford and Milton campus via virtual modes of delivery.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
• A specialization in either motor control or health and disease as it applies to movement, physical activity and sport through an inclusive lens;
• Ability to teach courses in statistics, research methods, introductory health, and/or motor control/learning and others within specialization;
• Given that a three-year LTA allows for the applicant to apply and hold grants, it is hoped that the successful candidate will collaborate with other scholars, and the Sun Life Centre for Healthy Communities (CHC), to explore factors influencing participation, engagement, adherence, development, and involvement of equity-deserving groups in community sport and recreation initiatives.
Qualifications for the positions include a PhD in Kinesiology or a related discipline.
