Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Teaching in Reconciliation, Anti-colonial education, Anti-oppressive education.
The Department of Educational Foundations, College of Education, University of Saskatchewan is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor of Teaching with expertise in anti-oppressive, reconciliation, and anti-colonial education. Experience grounded in interdisciplinarity (history and philosophy) and decolonizing experiential education would be an asset.
Preference will be given to candidates who have an excellent teaching record and expertise in anti-oppressive, reconciliation and decolonizing theory and practice, as well as community engagement experience. A social and ecological justice stance built on anti-oppressive, reconciliation, and decolonizing practices is core to this position.
The candidate will have a completed or near completion doctoral degree in reconciliation, anti-colonial education, or anti-oppressive education. The successful candidate’s duties will be primarily and substantively focused on instruction and teaching in academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels and teaching duties may include outreach and engagement in formal or community education settings. The position entails limited research and scholarly work responsibilities along with limited service and/or administrative responsibilities, but all faculty will contribute to collegial processes in the College of Education and the University of Saskatchewan.

Salary band for this position as Assistant Professor is $110,489 to $131,900. This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
