The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites applications for an academic position within the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. This position is a part of the Alberta Academic Medicine and Health Services Program (AMHSP).

This is a full time (1.0 FTE) tenure track (contingent) position, composed of approximately 60% time for clinical service and 40% time for scholarly pursuits divided among research (i.e. fundamental discovery research through clinical research, knowledge translation, or quality improvement), teaching, and administrative duties (negotiable).

Patient services are provided at the Stollery Children’s Hospital (tertiary centre) which serves central and northern Alberta, Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories, as well as regional hospitals in the city of Edmonton.

The division values its collegial dedicated team at the Pediatric Diabetes Education Center as well as its very experienced Endocrinology nursing staff. In addition to clinical care, the division participates actively in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has a fully accredited Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty-training program through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
