Managing the Family Care Unit
✔️ Oversee the implementation of the SOS Children’s Village program approach in alignment with established quality standards.
✔️ Monitor all areas of care in coordination with the team to ensure comprehensive and appropriate care for children in family care.
✔️ Support and develop local community activities and build partnerships with government entities and local organizations.
✔️ Monitor staff performance in family care and provide technical support and guidance.
Supporting and Guiding Colleagues
✔️ Supervise the team in the field of family care and provide necessary support for efficient service delivery.
✔️ Offer training programs for staff involved in family care to ensure a healthy and safe environment for children.
✔️ Implement human resource management principles, such as recruitment, guidance, performance management, and other administrative decisions.
Building Strong Relationships with Families and Caregivers
✔️ Spend time interacting with children and youth to understand them and provide support throughout their development stages.
✔️ Establish a safe family care environment according to approved standards.
✔️ Coordinate with local government entities and caregivers to ensure continuous high-quality care.
✔️ Support advocacy activities and enhance communication with local media.
Child Protection
✔️ Coordinate with the Child Protection Team and raise awareness about child protection issues in the local community.
✔️ Manage and document child protection incidents with the protection team.
✔️ Provide consultation and advice to staff on child protection matters.
Required Qualifications:
✅ A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, psychology, or a related field.
✅ At least 4 years of experience in family care and management.
✅ Ability to work in a child and youth care environment.
✅ Strong communication and organizational skills.
✅ Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
✅ Ability to work under pressure and adapt strategies to changing circumstances.
