Logistic Coordinator

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Oversee the procurement of goods and services in accordance with organizational and donor procurement policies.
  • Maintain transparent and auditable procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract management, and documentation.
  • Liaise with program and technical teams to forecast needs and develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines.

Warehousing & Inventory

  • Manage storage facilities to ensure proper stock control, safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory tracking systems.
  • Monitor stock levels, conduct physical inventories, and ensure timely delivery of supplies to program locations.

Transport & Fleet Management

  • Coordinate transport of goods, materials, and staff between project sites and regional offices.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of vehicles and ensure adherence to safety and usage protocols.
  • Monitor fuel usage, driver performance, and ensure regulatory compliance for all vehicle operations.

Asset Management

  • Maintain an updated asset register, including tagging, tracking, and disposal of assets.
  • Conduct periodic audits of equipment and assets, ensuring accountability and traceability.

Team Coordination & Capacity Building

  • Supervise and mentor logistics officers, storekeepers, drivers, and support staff.
  • Provide regular training and capacity-building sessions to ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with donor regulations, organizational logistics policies, and international best practices.
  • Maintain and submit accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with finance and program departments to align logistics with budgetary constraints and project deliverables.
