Position Summary
A postdoctoral position funded by the NIH is available for a motivated M.D. or a Ph.D. preferably with an expertise in cancer biology or Biochemistry. This research will focus on studying the biological and molecular basis of colorectal cancer, utilizing both in vitro and preclinical experiments, along with clinical samples. The primary emphasis will be on examining chemokine signaling.

Experience:
Prior experience in molecular and cellular biology
Proficiency in immunological techniques such as immunohistochemistry ( IHC ) and flow cytometry, as well as working with murine models and performing cell and tissue imaging.
Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
Familiarity with public bioinformatics databases and resources
Employee will be required to work with, take specific precautions against, and be immunized against potentially hazardous agents.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in bioinformatics and or epigenetics.

Description of Job Duty
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct laboratory studies to investigate the role of chemokines in colorectal cancer. The fellow is expected to carry out research with a certain degree of independence, which includes designing and evaluating experiments, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting research progress at both national and international conferences, as well as in weekly lab meetings.
Additionally, the fellow will be encouraged to develop new ideas that enhance the current research, prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the guidance of the principal investigator (PI), apply for postdoctoral fellowships with the PI’s support, attend conferences, and deliver seminars. The fellow is also expected to perform other duties assigned by the PI, such as training and supervising graduate students and participating in various laboratory activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Postdoctoral fellow is expected to perform other duties assigned by the PI, i.e., train and oversee graduate students and participate in other laboratory activities.
