Main Responsibilities:
- Implementing protection programs and activities based on project plans, with a focus on people with disabilities.
- Providing technical support to field teams to ensure activities are implemented in accordance with humanitarian protection principles.
- Participating in field needs assessments and identifying gaps in protection services.
- Following up and managing individual cases, providing support, and referring them to available services.
- Ensuring confidentiality and data protection for beneficiaries.
- Coordinating with partners and local organizations to ensure beneficiaries have access to the required services.
- Conducting awareness sessions on protection issues, including human rights, gender-based violence, and child protection.
- Training field teams and volunteers on core protection principles and best practices.
- Developing awareness materials targeting local communities to promote protection concepts.
- Working in coordination with other actors, including NGOs and local authorities, to ensure an effective response to protection issues.
- Participating in coordination meetings and sectoral committees related to protection.
- Preparing periodic reports on protection activities, challenges, and field needs.
- Ensure adherence to international humanitarian standards, such as the Minimum Standards for Child Protection and the Code of Conduct for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
- Promptly report any incidents of abuse or protection-related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- University degree in sociology, social work, law, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in protection work within a humanitarian context.
- Good knowledge of protection principles, child protection, and gender-based violence.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with vulnerable groups with respect and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Arabic; English preferred.
- Ability to work in unstable environments and adapt to field challenges.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess protection needs and provide solutions.
- Training skills and the ability to design and implement awareness-raising programs.
- Ability to manage time and multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
