Job Purpose
The organization’s Reporting Officer is responsible for:
– Responsible for preparing and submitting periodic financial reports to donors accurately and on time.
– Ensures that reports comply with donor requirements and approved accounting standards.
– Communicates effectively with donors to discuss any comments or inquiries regarding reports and works to make necessary adjustments in the event of problems or discrepancies.
– Oversees the financial data collection process, reviews report before submission and documents the submission process.
– Maintains accurate records of reports sent and received.
– Contributes to building strong relationships with donors by providing clear and transparent reports.
– The Reporting Officer serves as a vital link between the organization and donors regarding financial matters.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) for donors according to their specific requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial data included in the reports.
- Use the necessary accounting software and financial tools to prepare the reports.
- Review grant agreements and contracts with donors to understand reporting requirements and customize financial reports to meet each donor’s specific needs.
- Ensure that reports include all required data and information.
- Ensure that financial payments are requested for each project according to the signed agreement and share the payment requests and payment receipts with the accounting team.
- Adhere to report submission deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with donors to discuss financial reports and respond to their inquiries.
- Build strong relationships with donors through formal communication.
- Collaborate with budget holders and budgeting controller to resolve any issues or discrepancies in the reports.
- Analyze donor comments on financial reports and identify areas requiring reconciliation.
- Make necessary adjustments to the financial reports based on donor comments.
- Document all reconciliations made.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to collect the financial data needed to prepare reports.
- Review financial data with budgeting Controller before using them in preparing reports.
- Review all financial reports with budgeting controller before sending them to donors and ensure they are free of errors or inconsistencies.
- Ensure reports are clear, organized, and easy to understand.
- Document all financial reports sent to donors and keep copies of the reports sent and records of their submission.
- Track the status of sent reports until they are received by donors.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all reports sent and received in a secure and accessible location.
- Training: Provide training and support to staff members on financial procedures and policies, promoting a culture of financial responsibility and transparency.
- Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.….
- Commitment to implementing the child safeguarding and PSEA policy by considering them when planning and designing activities as well as when receiving complaints or observing issues related to this matter and fulfill their obligation to report it directly via the assigned channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness to their assigned staff of the child safeguarding and PSEA policy plus reporting mechanisms and how to deal with it.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, relevant experience, preferably in an NGO or nonprofit organization.
- Advance level in English and fluent in Arabic
Desirable:
- Advanced university degree in Finance, or related fields.
- More than 3 years in relevant experience.
- Advanced level of both English, and Turkish.
