System Administrator
Role Summary
Farsight Africa Group is seeking an experienced System Administrator with a strong background in IT to oversee the management, security, and maintenance of digital infrastructure for a large-scale public finance management project. The successful candidate will ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of IT systems supporting the digitalization of internal tax and non-tax revenue collection processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, databases, and network systems.
• Manage system security, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure high availability and performance of digital tax and non-tax revenue collection platforms.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades.
• Collaborate with software developers, architects, and project managers to optimize system functionality.
• Enforce security protocols, data protection policies, and compliance standards.
• Maintain system documentation, user guides, and technical reports.
Job Requirements
• A minimum of BAC +5 (Master’s degree) in IT, software development, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator in at least one (1) project focused on digitalization of internal tax and non-tax revenue collection or a large-scale national project related to digitalization in public finance management within the last ten (10) years.
• Strong expertise in server management, networking, and system security.
• Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and database administration.
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows server environments and IT automation tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and implement performance optimizations.
