Tenure-Track and Tenured Positions in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering

Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT) is a newly established research university supported by both private and public funding. EIT is developing its strengths in life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical engineering, with a focus on innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research and teaching. We are seeking dynamic and outstanding individuals to join our faculty in the College of Science and College of Engineering as we continue to expand our life science, biotechnology and biomedical engineering research capabilities.

 

Openings:

Tenure Track Faculty: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Chair Professor in research areas encompassing life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical engineering. We also encourage applicants working at the interface between biology and other areas, including but not limited to physics, chemistry, and computer science.

 

Responsibilities:

– Develop and lead original, innovative research in life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical engineering with high societal impact and translational potential.

– Publish original research in top-tier life science, biotechnology and biomedical engineering journals.

– Lead and contribute to research-education-industry programs in collaboration with healthcare institutions and industries.

– Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical engineering, contributing to the academic development of students.

– Mentor and advise students, fostering their academic and professional growth.

– Engage in service activities, including committee work, academic leadership, and community outreach initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

– A doctoral degree in life sciences, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline.

– Demonstrated expertise and research accomplishments in life sciences, biotechnology or biomedical engineering, with a record of publications in relevant journals.

– Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with a commitment to innovative pedagogy and student-centered learning.

– Ability to contribute to the collegial atmosphere of the department and university through service and collaborative endeavors.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
