Educational Psychology (Counselling)
The Faculty of Education at the University of Regina is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology (Counselling) for a full-time, tenure-track position appointment with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025.
The University of Regina is situated on Treaty 4 lands with a presence in Treaty 6. Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in educational psychology in the counselling area, and for supervising graduate students. They will assume an active role in committee work and contribute to the elementary or secondary program area, while also engaging in collegial governance. Additionally, they will participate in scholarly research, either independently or collaboratively.
Qualifications: Candidates will possess a Ph.D. degree or be near completion, with a clearly articulated and active program of research or scholarship in Counselling/Educational/School Psychology. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong background in counselling and be registered or eligible for registration with a professional body such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Teaching experience in both K-12 environments and university settings is an asset, but not a requirement.
Salary Range: Depending on qualifications and experience, normally in the Assistant Professor range ($101,603 – $128,323, effective July 1, 2025) as per the URFA Collective Agreement.
